redir -x test.com (Redir 2.1) prints "Exit code: 0". test.com returns a non-zero code, as show: if errorlevel 1 ... redir -x test.com (Redir 1.0) redir -x start /w test.com (start is from Windows 98) Well, this isn't big deal, but make 3.79 doesn't stop when a .COM program indicates an error.
