You should have simply said that in the first place. This is a known problem in stock version of symify shipped with all versions of DJGPP up to and including v2.03: some programs cause it to crash. This was a very elusive bug, but it was finally solved recently. I have made a patched version of symify.exe avaiable for anon ftp here: ftp://is.elta.co.il/pub/symify.exe Please see if this version makes the problem go away.
