-: > And the old bin/gxx.exe that comes with gcc2721b.zip ? -: -: gcc2721b.zip didn't have gxx.exe. The gxx.exe you had was from -: djdev203.zip. Just FYI: browing through my archives I find that gcc2721b.zip indeed came with bin/gxx.exe, and it is different from the gxx.exe that shipped with djdev2.0[23]: % unzip -l gcc2721b.zip | grep gxx 59904 10-19-96 10:26 bin/gxx.exe % unzip -l djdev202.zip | grep gxx 70144 12-13-98 13:17 bin/gxx.exe % unzip -l djdev203.zip | grep gxx 86016 01-04-00 14:35 bin/gxx.exe But since I don't use C++, I won't be needing gxx.exe anyway. -: (As you see, Info doesn't cope very well with multiple versions of the -: same manual installed on the same machine.) I was just wondering; I really don't have the disk space to spare. PS: If it would be useful (for the KB or the UG) to write up these notes for keeping an independent gcc2.7.2.1 installation, I'll be glad to do so.
