     I have the same problem. But in this case Emacs exits silently
while i am writing text, when press TAB to complete a filename, and in
general with any keyboard operation (Not only with the arrows keys).
     Lowering the autorepeat rate wasn't sucessful.

PD: The platform it's NT 4.0 , with the last versions of all the
DJGPP components (downloaded two weeks ago).
