I beg to differ. Josh Vanderhoof <joshv AT planet DOT net> made a cross-ELF
library which allowed the use of ELF files in DOS, Linux and Win32. I
lost the link for the sample package, which was called 'xelfdemo.zip'
ca. 1997.
