hi i'm wondering, how would I go about downsampling an image from 24 or 16 bits per pixel to 8 bits per pixel. I don't mean in Allegro, I mean as a general algorithym for it. Is there is a web-site that shows how to do this?? I want to actually understand what the code is doing, and not just cut and paste into my own programs. anyways any help is greatly appreciated.... -- *********************************************************** * Sahab Yazdani * "Wizard's Third Rule: Passion rules * * Thornhill S.S * Reason" - Kolo's Journal * *********************************************************** * http://pheonixsoft.virtualave.net/ * ***********************************************************
