If you'd like to save yourself the trouble of building the h8/300 cross 
compiler, you can download it from my website at 
http://www.jps.net/rossw/legos.  It took me about three months to get a 
successful build, unfortunately, I can't remember all the little tweaks I 
had to make to get it.
