And you remembered to check the 'Use folder names' box?
You should have something like:
C:\DJGPP\
\BIN
\LIB
\INFO
etc.
IF you don't, delete it all and try it again.
Also, make sure that you have added the lines:
SET PATH=C:\DJGPP\BIN;%PATH%
SET DJGPP=C:\DJGPP\DJGPP.ENV
to your Autoexec.bat file and re-booted.

The docs are created when Allegro is built. And for what its worth,
Allegro is written in C and uses nothing but C syntax.

Assuming it is installed correctly, you can use the Rhide IDE, which is
very simliar to the TurboC IDE. (but you are confused, the IDE and the
compiler are not the same thing)

Well, re-read readme.1st, and follow the directions *very* carefully.
DJGPP really is simple to install.

Well, assuming you are using windows, DPMI is provided by the dos-
session, but if you are using plain DOS, you'll need CWSDPMI or some
other DPMI server.
Good luck.
