[mailed to DJ and posted to c.o.m.d] Maybe this is a known problem although I have not seen any announcement or discussion of it... It appears that the c.o.m.d news gateway is somehow picking up usenet posts and interpreting them as listserv requests. Below is a message I recieved, obviously in response to my usenet post Message-ID: <uu5b2to3fatj97uuh3gfqejhuouv9uln7q AT 4ax DOT com>. There was another similar problem, which I attempted to let DJ know about, but my mail to him bounced. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- X-From_: listmaster AT delorie DOT com Fri Dec 01 07:24:25 2000 Envelope-to: news AT jgreen4 DOT fsnet DOT co DOT uk Delivery-date: Fri, 01 Dec 2000 07:24:25 +0000 Received: from [207.22.48.162] (helo=delorie.com) by mail8.svr.pol.co.uk with esmtp (Exim 3.13 #0) id 141kYS-00052b-00 for news AT jgreen4 DOT fsnet DOT co DOT uk; Fri, 01 Dec 2000 07:24:24 +0000 Received: (from daemon AT localhost) by delorie.com (8.9.1/8.9.1) id CAA19082; Fri, 1 Dec 2000 02:24:09 -0500 Date: Fri, 1 Dec 2000 02:24:09 -0500 Message-Id: <200012010724 DOT CAA19082 AT delorie DOT com> From: listmaster AT delorie DOT com (Mailing List Processor) Reply-to: listserv AT delorie DOT com To: news AT jgreen4 DOT fsnet DOT co DOT uk Subject: Re: your LISTSERVE request "" The mailing list "list.cpp..." could not be found.
