 - gdb500b.zip includes gdb.exe and the docs.
 - gdb500a.zip includes the libraries (libbfd, libopcodes, libmmalloc,
libibert, and libgdb) which are produced as part of GDB build.
 - gdb500d.zip includes HTML/DVI/PS docs.
 - gdb500s.zip includes the sources required for building the DJGPP
   port of GDB.
 - gdb500s2.zip includes the rest of the source distribution which is
not required for building the DJGPP port.
GDB is a very powerful source-level debugger.
This release has no major new features as far as the DJGPP port is
concerned, since all of the major improvements (much more
reliable and flexible watchpoint support; FP code debugging; support for
debugging programs which use signals, change working directories, and
redirect standard handles; etc.) were already included in the DJGPP port
of GDB 4.18.
One important change is that from now on, the official GDB distribution
supports compilation with DJGPP out of the box. All the scripts and
configuration files required for the DJGPP build are included in the
official GNU source distribution.
See the file NEWS for the full list of the new features.
Please direct any further discussions about this port to
comp.os.msdos.djgpp news group (or write to its e-mail gateway
