Try "Free Physical Memory" (or thereabouts) instead, and watch how it
changes when you, e.g., compile a large program.
AFAIK, allocated memory is simply the largest sum of all memory demands
Windows ever needed to satisfy during this session, and it includes VM.
So it's not very interesting, since the Windows swap file grows as
needed.
