First check section 8.1 of the FAQ.

If that does not help then cut and paste all of the following into a
message and post it to this list:

  Full source code of a short program which demonstrates the problem,
  The exact command line you use to compile that program,
  The exact errors you get when compiling the program.

The following would also be useful to know:

  The output of the command `set'
  The output of the command `gcc -v'
