I'm going to make a recommendation, based on personal experience,
Go and look at www.bloodshed.net, and get DevC++, it's an IDE and packaged
system for MinGW, which means nearly all your code will work from what you
have done, as it's also based on gcc, albeit, some of the packages are a bit 
out of date (Namely Binutils)

I can then send you the newer include files, and libraries I compiled.
