If you are running in a DOS box, I can't really help, but I am aware that with my PS2 mouse, Allegro does not report '-1' as promised in the docs for install_mouse if you run with no mouse driver (only possible in 'true' DOS), but instead '0'. Does that help at all? -Thomas
