I've re-uploaded the latest cvs 1.10 (binaries & source) to DJ's server. Apparently, it had been clobbered during the let's-recompile-some- packages-with-djgpp-2.03 frenzy of late May and was overwritten with an distribution based on older sources. The uploaded distribution is also 2.03-compiled (as was the original one) and fixes an issue where dead files could not be re-added to a project (because DOS, unlike Unix, won't allow moving/renaming open files). A port of cvs 1.10.8 is also ready. It's currently in test; when ready, it will also be uploaded (and an ANNOUNCE posted here). Major changes: * Bugs fixed (see www.cvshome.org for a list) * CVS/Repository files now store paths relative to the root by default (so only CVS/Root files need adjusting if the root changes) * support for remote roots (thanks to libsocket) - note that due to a limitation in the VxD used by libsocket, downloading projects when using Winsock2 is restricted to projects containing files no larger than 32K **** CVS no longer supports DOS-style paths for CVSROOT. /dev style paths should be used instead. Not only does this simplify the port, it also greatly reduces the likelihood of hidden breakages (especially now the client code is enabled). I will include a script to modify any CVS/Root and CVS/Repository files, so all that will be needed is to change the setting of $CVSROOT in djgpp.env (or wherever you set it). -- Hi, I'm a signature virus. plz set me as your signature and help me spread :)
