I was thinking from the angle of writing portable code (ANSI, some
POSIX, perhaps Allegro), developing natively under Linux and
recompiling under real DOS when you have a lot of it working.
Similar techniques (develop on a Real Operating System then
recompile for Wintendo) were used for Doom and Quake.

Not in the latest Pavenis versions AFAIK.
