I printed the list out from the Win2k's command prompt, using the 'set'
command. I just tested under bash running under Windows NT 4 and $USERNAME
was set appropriately.

Clearly I need to retest under bash running on Win2k, but I don't have
DJGPP on the machine I used at work. I suspect it works the same way.
