There's a C++ wrapper for gmp 2.0.x here:

I haven't looked at this. It might work with gmp 3.0.1.

I have heard a rumour that gmp 4 will have a C++ wrapper, but versions 3.1
and 3.2 are due before that, so it may be some time.

I can't really advise you on using gmp, since I have not used it much. One
day I hope to use it for something, having ported it. I hope it's useful
for you.
