Try 'redir -eo gcc -v file.c > err.lst' and read the output file
err.lst very carefully. You'll see that you have an outdated version
of 'cpp' lying around from an old gcc.

The problem almost certainly is that you didn't follow installation
instructions when you updated your gcc installation.
