Last time I have done that (december 1999) there was no such error, but there have been many
upgrades since then.
To be sure that it is not an installation problem I have made a completely fresh djgpp tree by:
- renaming the old djgpp directory to djgpp.old
- fresh dowload from a simtelnet mirror (grolier) of the following files (as reported by dir)

All seems correct, but there is this message in compare.log
I do that (like the previous time last december) to build the new alpha of gpc, I found messages
which have nothing to do with gpc (except for one), and the present test was made _without_ the gpc
tree to be sure.
I work in a DOS windows with W98se
Any idea ?
Thanks
