Have you tried .../allegro/tests/test.exe? If it works, it's your
problem.

Logitech mice sometimes have a bug of the mouse moving at 1/8 speed in
graphics modes.

I smell uninitialized pointers. Do you initialize all pointers to 0?
It'll help point out the bugs in your program.

3.9.32 has improved mouse routines (such as one that directly gets
mickeys from the driver).
