The famous 3-byte Win9x freezer "l: cli\n jmp l" could be rather called:
"Freeze everything until cold start", couldn't it ;-) ?

It is an option in the DR-DOS TaskMgr, to select a <386-style task
switcher where all background tasks are frozen - just passive data in memory-,
in place of the default 386+ preemptive multitasker.
So, you can be happy: no useless movement in background, where you even don't
see the screen, all for foreground! 8-)=
