Thank you verry much to all that helped me with this _rather_weird_ problem. A special thanks to Eli, who has been working on this with me for weeks, and Dieter, who came up with a very nice solution (direct memory copy instead of double=double assignment) Lesson learned: you can't use anything that triggers 387 software emulation in a callback function.
