If it's a laser, search for info on PCL or PostScript language.

If it's an inkjet, it may support PCL.
If it's an old dot matrix, you are essentially printing a monochrome
bitmap; look for docs on how to print to Epson printers.
If none of those help, you probably have a winprinter.  Get MinGW
  http://www.mingw.org/
and learn the WinAPI for printing.
