That's the correct version.

That's the wrong (old) version, it comes from the Ispell distro.

Yes, it's my typo.  Sorry.

It strikes me as a better solution simply to remove ispell.el and 
ispell.elc from the Ispell distribution.  When I have time to update the 
distribution, that's what I'll do.
