The problem has nothing to do with <iostream> vs. <iostream.h> or
whether std:: scoping is used.  The current version of gcc does not
care which style you use.

The problem is probablt the use of gcc instead of gpp.

If using gpp does not fix the problem then we need to see full command
line used to compile, with the exact errors issued by the compiler.
