In Microsoft's own words, Win32 is a platform (or, rather, a collection of
platforms) - hence the platform SDK, etc. Whether you accept that is
another question...
So, on the basis Win32 is a platform, you can implement the Win32 API,
i.e. as in Wine. But if you implement a Win32 platform you get Windows
'95, Windows NT, Windows 2000.

Why? Is this a competition or something?
Anyway, this is a futile argument. At the end of the day these programs
allow you to do some pretty cool stuff. If only they could do it slightly
faster on my computer ;)
BTW Damien, don't you think that using the word b******t in your no-spam
e-mail address is a bit offensive?
