Wehe windoze registry contains very important information about the
system and if this file was in text instead of binary it would encourage
users to play around with it and causing so god knows how many problems
with the system.

So IMHO I think that the windoze registry being in binary is a Good
Thing(tm).

I mean I have even seen windoze users fireup notepad and open a DLL, and
they arent a bit bothered about the binary garbage that they see at the
beginning, scroll until they find some text and change it and save the
DLL, and expect everything to work as it did before.

So even the registry being in binary isn't safe.
