Sorry, I don't understand: are you answering my question (in which
case I'd like to know how did you reproduce what happens on Chris's
machine, since it doesn't happen to me)? Or are you explaining
something to Chris (in which case you should have replied to *his*
message, not to mine)?
FWIW, I never need to Ctrl-Alt-Del to get out of Bash. Just type
"exit", and be done with it (nicely).
