I occationally boot to DOS, and I had NNT off when I installed DJGPP which fixes
most of the problems, but I generally prefer to have NNT off even in Windows
because I have a personal objection to NNT.

Well, I was trying to syncronize some projects between a Zip disk and my
hard-drive. I could have deleted all of the "*~" files before syncronizing, but
there were lots of directories and that was tedious. I didn't really care if the
backup file(s) dissapeared, but I did care when the non-backup(s) dissapeared.
