It's $99 for the non-commerical, home/student user version, which is much
more reasonable. It's very slow on my K6-2 400MHz (well, 398MHz) box
running RedHat 6.1 + kernel 2.2.14. I've heard an Athlon makes it run at a
good speed. I don't think VMware supports DirectX right now. Wine does - I
can play Carmageddon under Linux. Why not use both?
