This is to announce that version 2.30 of the DJGPP FAQ list
is available from SimTel.NET mirrors worldwide:
ftp://ftp.simtel.net/pub/simtelnet/gnu/djgpp/v2/faq230b.zip
ftp://ftp.simtel.net/pub/simtelnet/gnu/djgpp/v2/faq230s.zip
ftp://ftp.simtel.net/pub/simtelnet/gnu/djgpp/v2/faq230p.zip
The on-line version of the FAQ is already available from DJ's server (it
has been there for a couple of days):

This FAQ release is consistent with DJGPP v2.03. It includes numerous
additions as the recent DJGPP developments dictate. Some obsolete
sections were removed. Many index entries were added, to make the FAQ
more easily searchable. See the file WHATSNEW.faq in the distribution
for the complete list of changes.
Thanks to everybody who sent me comments, corrections, and advice for
making the FAQ better.
faq230b.zip is what most users will want: it includes the FAQ in the
Info, HTML, and plain ASCII formats.
faq230p.zip is for people who like the docs printed on paper. It
includes ready-to-print versions of the FAQ in PostScript and PCL
formats; the former is for PostScript printers, the latter is for
LaserJet series printers. There's also a DVI (DeVice-Independent)
file which can be used to produce output for other devices. DVI
drivers for various devices are available from CTAN (Comprehensive TeX
Archive Network) sites; some of them are available in DJGPP ports in
the v2apps/tex directory on SimTel.NET.
faq230s.zip includes the Texinfo sources of the FAQ, and a special-purpose
program used to split the HTML version into small files by node (this
program is used to produce the on-line version on DJ's server). You only
need faq230s.zip if you want to produce the FAQ in some format that isn't
already included in faq230b.zip and faq230p.zip.
This FAQ release finally tosses the semi-kludgy scripts and programs I
used previously to produce HTML and ASCII versions of the FAQ. Instead,
it now relies on Texinfo version 4.0 or later, which supports HTML output
and section-numbering, and whose plain-ASCII output is now much better.
You will need the latest Texinfo if you want to play with the FAQ sources.
Please direct any further discussions about this port to
comp.os.msdos.djgpp news group (or write to its e-mail gateway
