The book you've bought, is it Teach Yourself C++ in 21 Days (Third edition)? I
have the same book and I've had a similar problem. I've concluded that the
install progrem s*cks and I've took over his job.
How? Well, I you go to to official DJGPP site http://www.delorie.com/djgpp/ and
you follow the whole thing about getting DJGPP (the ZIP picker), you will found
out than the zip-files on the CD-ROM are a huge copy of the ones that are on the
FTP server they talk about in the ZIP picker: They have the same name and are in
the same directory-structure.
So, what I've done is, I told the ZIP-picker what I wanted, he told me what files
I needed, and I've took them from the CD-ROM. There are some files that are not
up to date with the FTP server, but then you can take similar ones, or decide to
download the file anyway.
Then, of course, you follow the ZIP-picker instructions to install DJGPP
Hope this helps!
