you can also try renaming the libstdcxx.a to libstdcx.a under the lib directory of djgpp, if you are using windows 9x, that is...windows 9x will save the libstdcxx.a as libstdc~1.a...I am not sure if ld.exe can't read that but when I renamed mine to that, I was able to compile my programs...hope that helps...
