I hunted the archives, and found a post with an attached audialg.c. The post
was a reply to my earlier post, but it never showed up on my news server. I
tried decoding the file, but several newsreaders thought it contained
errors. Can someone post a plain text copy either to this group or to me
directly (remove nospam from the email address).
I managed to randomly delete enough assembly from the file near the errors
that it compiled, and even played music. It played a bit slowly though - not
a problem with needing a bigger CPU, but something else strange. After
timing, it appeared to play 60 seconds of music in around 63 seconds, making
everything sound a little off pitch and slow. Is this a hacked LibAmp
problem, or an Allegro/soundcard problem?
If I get a version to work properly, I'll host a zip of it on my web pages
so that others can get it going easily.
Cheers,
Chris
