"double something[300][300][2]" requires 180,000*8 = 1,440,000 bytes of stack space. DJGPP programs by default have only 512KB of stack, so your program overflows the stack and crashes. See section 15.9 of the DJGPP FAQ list for more details, and for suggested solutions.
