I have downloaded & installed DJGPP 3 times. Everytime I get the same error message!
gcc.exe: installation problem, cannot exec "cpp": No such file or directory (ENOENT)
The command line just previous to this was "gcc -c -g hello.c"
I'm trying to simply test it out with the simple "Hello World" program, but it says there are
installation errors.
A)Yes, I've read the FAQ.
B)Yes, I've read & installed w/ frequent references to readme.1st
C)Yes, my unzipper is LFN compliant.
Specs: AMD K6-2 350mhz w/ 64MB RAM & 17GB HDD. Win98. Installation directory is: "E:/DEV/DJGPP/".
Does running in DOS-window affect this?
i.e. Do I need to reboot into DOS?
The unzipper makes numerous folders under the root DJGPP folder, is this good, bad or dependant on
which folders?
I asked this since I read somewhere that it should all be unzipped into /DJGPP. One reference
seemed to indicate that this was to let the unzipper handle to directory structure for you, the
other that all files were to belong in one directory. I have no idea which to believe.
I hope this is enough info. Please eMail me as well as respond to the group; I don't check the
group that often.
