I've solved it. Trigraphs are described in cpp.i3. It turned out that I had used the sequence ??) in a comment (!)(is that normal??) (note the trigraph) that triggered the message. And I always thought that what I wrote between /* */ was completely ignored by the compiler/preprocessor?
