Just mucking around with C++ recently, and noticed that the following short program takes *ages* for gpp to compile (without optimization or anything, command line: gpp -o test.exe test.cpp). Can anyone fill me in on why it takes so long? Davin. --- begin --- #include <iostream> class X { int value; public: X( int a ) { value = a; cout << "X(int)" << endl; } }; main() { X a = 1; a = X(2); } --- end --- __________________________________________________________ *** davmac - sharkin'!! davmac AT iname DOT com *** my programming page: http://yoyo.cc.monash.edu.au/~davmac/
