Don't believe in rumors, particularly in this one.  This rumor, or its
many varieties, has been around for at least 10 years, since we heard
that DOS 4.0 will be the last DOS version.

I strongly suspect that the 9X kernel will not die any faster than
DOS.  They can't afford it: the installed base is too large, and the
incompatibilities between 9X and NT are too many.

As long as there are users that are interested enough to contribute to
DJGPP development, DJGPP will live.  In other words, *you* and *I* are
those who decide what future there is for DJGPP.
