In my (working at least w/ Perl) DJGPP setup in an (v4.0 Warp) OS/2 DOS box,
go32-v2 gives the following results:
C:\>go32-v2
Called as `d:/djgpp/bin/go32-v2.exe'
DOS CmdTail: `'
go32/v2 version 2.0 built Nov 15 1998 14:36:43
Usage: go32 coff-image [args]
Rename this to go32.exe only if you need a go32 that can run v2 binaries as
well as v1 binaries (old makefiles). Put ahead of the old go32 in your PATH
but do not delete your old go32 - leave it in the PATH after this one.
Set GO32_V2_DEBUG=y in the environment to get verbose output.
DPMI memory available: 616 Kb
DPMI swap space available: 15128 Kb
This is with a 32MB DPMI memory limit set for the DOS box session.
The DOS mem command shows:
C:\>mem
654336 bytes total memory
654336 bytes available for DOS
636288 largest executable program size
2473984 bytes total EMS memory
2064384 bytes free EMS memory
2031616 bytes total XMS memory
2031616 bytes available XMS memory
0 bytes available contiguous extended memory
DOS resident in High Memory Area
High Memory Area in use
Any idea why I don't get more than 616K of DPMI memory? (The computer has 96MB
total).
Thanks,
Mike S.
