The latest binaries of ported GNU software, including the compiler,
Binutils, Make, and others, were uploaded in last November or even
earlier. It seems improbable that it would take so long for the virus to
get known to the vendors of anti-virus software. These programs saw a
lot of use since the release, with no visible problems reported by anyone.
Just in case, I ran the latest DOS scanner I have (whose data files were
released months after the binaries) and didn't see any warnings.
So I'm quite coinfident this is a false alarm.
I suggest to contact the vendor of the virus scanner and ask them to look
into this problem. If they need technical assistance and advice
regarding DJGPP programs, they can send email to djgpp-workers AT delorie DOT com.
