True, 16 bit DOS is dead and DJGPP and it's accompanying utilities address this
shortcoming. Why create something that needs to be fixed? If you prefer a CLI as
your main system, Unix and its variants are much better at the command line than
DOS ever pretended to be.
How about discussing a concerted effort at converting DJGPP, Allegro, etc. to 32
bit Windows *before* we are all using 64 bit machines at home? RXSNTDJ didn't
work for me, and from what I've read herein, its a major (if not overwhelming)
problem for others as well.
I want to thank DJ, and all the other contributors for a splendid work well
done, but lets move on to the next step.
