how to scan an int from the keyboard, with allegro and the
"install_keyboard();" routines installed?

I used to use:
scanf("%d", x);

But "Once you have set up the Allegro handler, you can no longer use
DOS/BIOS calls or C library functions to access the keyboard. "...
...what to do??
