*Is* because you use characters different than PC437. The last release of my
editor (the one included in RHIDE but outside RHIDE) supports code pages
under Linux, but I only support ISO-1. If you want to see some support for
your code page you can cooperate with me to see how can I support it.
Currently the DOS version supports russian (cyrilic) code pages, so I think
Hebrew is possible to add.
These features aren't included in RHIDE currently but some day will be ;-)
