Would it really be hard to have each package stored in more than one format,
such as a regular gzip'd/bzip2'd tarball for Linuxians, a PkZip-compatible
.zip for Microsoftians, etc.?
Alternately, I know you can still use pkzip.exe to extract PkZip-created
self extracting .exe files, is this true of InfoZIP/unzip/whatever you might
use on your Irix/Linux boxes?
