Q: Are STL containers guaranteed to be thread safe? I.e. will two
threads iterating through a list and possibly adding or removing
list items interfere with one another or does list and its
friends enforce any necessary mutual exclusion?
Is thread-safety dependent on having a specific threading
   library in the system?
