Eli:
The user has to keep the file DJVERIFY.DAT up to date himself. This is done
by referring to the weekly
Mini-FAQ post that DJ sends us. I always copy a text version of that letter
to my C:\DJGPP directory.
I call it weekly.txt
How to update DJVERIFY.DAT is explained in the file PACKAGES.DAT
Here is an excerpt from that file:
; This file and all other data pertaining to DJVERIFY are
; Copyright (c) 1996-1997 John M. Aldrich. See djverify.doc
; for detailed copyright information.
;
; Master package list for DJVERIFY. This file is used to build the list of
; package information in djverify.dat. To add a new package to DJVERIFY's
; database, insert a package description into this file and add the name of
; the package's manifest (if it has one) to manifest.lst.
end of excerpt.
No Problem.
DJVERIFY has been a good friend of mine ever since the first version came
out. I see no bugs in it.
(By "bugs" I do not mean any lack improvements that might be in the
author's plans). It works.
This utility IMHO is right up there with readme.1st and the FAQ as to its
value.
It's worth a good look. I like it. If it were "finished" I would nominate
it for one of the best utilities in the DJGPP canon.
