I've been told that the actual number of the exit code is meaningless.
Just that an exit code of 0 is a normal completion of the program and
anything not 0 is an exit on some error.  You can specify in your program
what code to return if you get a certain type of error.  These exit codes
can be usefull in trouble shooting or can be used to tell other programs
stuff.
