Hello, can anyone tell me if this can be done in Allegro? Preface: I am trying to write a program that will send an image to a Magicard 300 (tri-sublimation) printer. It uses a film process with a Red, Green and Blue film. I captured the output from another program that goes to the printer and discovered that I need to send 3 bitmaps to this printer. 1 Red, 1 Green and 1 Blue. I want to be able to take a 24 bit color bitmap, and create 3 seperate files from it, 1 for Red, Green and Blue. The 3 images I saw going to the printer look almost identical except for shading. What I noticed is that the file going to the printer consists of 3 bitmaps in it, Each pixel is 1 byte (8bit color) (because size of bitmap Xsize x Ysize * (3 layers) = filesize. Is there a command in Allegro that will take my 24bit color file and convert it to 3 seperate files? One other thing I noticed in the capture is that there is NO palette information going to this printer??? Just the actual image info.. Is there a standard RGB palette? Or do I need to find out what this printer uses? Appreciate any info or suggestions. Thanks! Dave.
